A STRAIGHT-FORWARD ANSWER:
If you got your phone with whatever company that uses SIM cards then most likely your phone is LOCKED to that company, and so you are "stuck" with that phone company. It would not matter if you switched to another phone company that also uses SIM cards. Your phone will be useless with that company.
HOWEVER, you can UNLOCK your phone. Only then will you be free to hook up with ANY phone company which uses SIM cards.
If you already unlocked your phone then call each company up and ask if their phones use SIM cards.

i hate to tell you but the razrs are a bunch of crap- in fact they could barely give them away- that would be why the pushed them so hard all over. Because they ordered to much. If you still want, I would recommend talking to either cingular or suncom, or version wireless.

T mobile and Cingular uses GSM(sim card), Verizon uses CDMA (not sim card)

The V3c doesn't use a SIM card. It is a CDMA phone which doesn't use SIM cards.

Find out if the phone is GSM, CDMA.
If the phone is unlocked, then you can use it on another provider with the same.
