i may be being really stupid here, but what is a secular job?
ahhh thank you and apologies for my lack of understanding of the use of the word!! However, yes, I have, but it wasnt funny at all and i ended up taking my employer to an employment tribunal. It took 3 years a bout of depression and the risk of loosing everything including my home but I won the case in the end. The final straw for me was a very stupid woman trying to catch me out for her boss who wanted to get rid of me. I had been fighting him for months and he was nasty and had got rid of lots of people before me. It wasnt him who was the final straw tho. It was this silly pawn who wanted to please him. I just couldnt stand it anymore. Told you it wasnt funny!!!!

yes, I did, I was meant to leave my job as a sale team manager at the end of September 2003, I was moving to Spain to be with what is now my husband, but couldnt wait, on the Friday before the August bank holiday, I decided to go, emailed him to say I would be there sooner. I waited in the office until everyone had gone for the weekend, wrote letters, to my line manager and my friend who'd told me about the job in the first place, I'd only been in the job a month! I booked my ferry ticket on their computers, and then left the office, leaving my ID card, and the letters on the desk, no one had noticed I'd been 'clearing the decks' all week, and left, simple. I left my mobile switched on, ignoring all the various calls on the monday as I was on the road to Portsmouth to get my ferry! Never looked back!

three times; once due to racism, the company assured me that they had followed policy- but i felt they had mistreated a client and had not followed policy (it was changed soon after), another when i was a student, the door men were a) letting underage girls if they fancied them and b) selling drugs, the company asked if i would like to stay on an watch and supply info i refused, saying they need to investigate properly and most recently from my career, as the government post which i worked is slowly being privatised and i do not believe that certain public services, such as police, probation etc should be privatised, their answer? sad i was leaving but this was how it was going to be?

yes, I did. I've worked for the DeutschBank and the constant bitching, backstabbing bull, I just walked out at 12 clock lunchtime, walked over to Citibank and applied there, I started to work there the next day( the paperwork took 1 week) but they took me right-a-way, my old Boss couldn't believe when he seen my walking in to the CitiCorp Bldg.
