I'm making a friend a CD for his 21st birthday with drinking songs that mention alcohol (a certain kind, or in general) or the bar, or drinking related things. He doesn't like country, so that puts a big kink in it. Any ideas for songs?

One Bourbon, One Scotch and One Beer
George Thourgood and the Destroyers.

I know you said no country, but "Alcohol" by Brad Paisley is pretty good.

"Overserved"
New Duncan Imperials (you might be able to find this as a download somewhere)

"Mas Tequila"
Van Halen (or was that a solo Sammy song?)

"I Drink Alone"
George Thourgood and the Destroyers

"Brass Monkey"
Beastie Boys

"Gin and Juice"
Snoop Dogg

Here is a whole mess of info on drinking songs. Too bad he doesn't like country though. They've got the best. My favourites are Jose Cuervo, Sloop John B, ....and that one...Prop me up beside the jukebox when I die...Lord I wanna go to heaven but I don't wanna go tonight....ohhh yeaaahhh!
