Don't think so but..
You Can Call Me Al is a song by Paul Simon, the first single released off his album Graceland. The song originally charted in the US at #44 in October, 1986 but it was reissued with greater promotion in March, 1987 and hit #23. In the UK it peaked at #4.
The music video for the song features Chevy Chase lip-synching the vocals while Simon plays various instruments. This could be seen as a joke on the "performance videos" of the time where musicians pretended to sing and play instruments.
Al Gore used the song in his campaign for vice president in 1992.
There have been various interpretations to the lyrics. Some claim the song is about alcoholism ("I can call you Betty", as in Betty Ford, "you can call me Al", short for alcoholic). Others claim it is about Paul's midlife crisis. A third theory is that the names Betty and Al refer to the famous lyric- and screenwriting team of Betty Comden and Adolph Green (known as Al to his friends).

I don't recall it having been used in any films. I've just done a little web research and come up dry there too. Several of his other songs have shown up on soundtracks. If this one did, it was uncredited.
And yes, Chevy Chase was in the video for "You Can Call Me Al" with Paul Simon.

No, it was an original song for the album Graceland. It gives that impression I think because that comedian/actor Chevy Chase was in the video. I guess it looks liks Paul is trying to sell a movie or something. Whatever happened to Chevy Chase BTW?

Yes, this song is featured in the film Graceland. Graceland is a great compilation of songs : a blended effort by Paul Simon and African musicians. It is a musical research on the blend of African and European music. The movie/musical goes through to the movie audience every step in the recorded of the music, trips to Africa, etc ... . Paul Simon did another great similar effort in researching the blend of Latin- American music and European music.

Chevy Chase was in the video but I don't think it was in any movie. At least not at the time that it was released.
