I would kind of like to know either one... I'm terrified of so many things, and maybe knowing would help me cross a few of those things off my list.

The date, because no matter what it is going to happen... assuming that this question poses no ability for me to alter the outcome... I would want to spend every moment I had left not worrying about the trivial stuff and fitting anything into my life that I felt were "must-do's".

Great question though!! : )

the date

If you know the date, then there is no avoiding the end result on that date.

If you know the cause, it will likely be random enough to not effect you. Example: car accident. Will you stop driving a car then? What if a car hits you while you are walking? It is just too random. What if you knew your death was by total organ failure? Does this mean you died of old age? Or your parachute didn't open? What if you knew you died from a bullet? How would that be helpful?

So I don't think either would be helpful. The only thing that I would care about is the level of pain I will go through on my way out of this life. Hopefully, I think we all wish, a peaceful, fairly pain free exit.

The date, because then I would know how much time I had to do all the things Ive wanted to do before I die. Dont ever want to fear death and think if I knew the cause I would be afraid.

Ideally, neither; if you think the future's written for you, why bother getting up in the morning? But if I must know one or the other, I'd go with the date of my death. Barring Jesus Christ's return in my lifetime, I'm going to die of something, so what difference would it make if I knew the cause of death? Knowing the date of my death, I might get some overplan-itis, but I wouldn't get as worked up about it as I would about my death's details.

I'm going to die when my appointed time/ date arrives regardless. If I avert the cause another cause will pop up. If It's not my time nothing will remove me from this world. However, if it's not then nothing will keep me here.

Therefore; I'd rather know the date. That way I could prepare, say my goodbyes, etc.

I wouldn't want to know either, but since there are choices, I'd rather know the cause since the exact date. Why? Because I would start counting down to the date (scary!)!

I'd rather know the date. That way I could say my goodbyes, and do some of the things I might not normally have done, and not do some things I shouldn't have done. If I knew the cause, it might cause too much worry and fear.

Neither, because I enjoy life. I am happily married and I think that knowing the time of my own death would seriously hinder our relationship. Besides I almost died earlier this year. I had to undergo open heart surgery to replace a bad valve.

im not really sure. It would be really hard to know when you would die. Espically like on day before that but the it would be good to know what time you should say good bye. But if you knew the cause like if it was a disease then you could take medicne. I would rather when that what.
