I couldn't have said it better myself! That piece of shitt got off way too easy: most State mental hospitals are like fukking country clubs. I'm sorry, but I don't care how insane you are, at some point while murdering your own children, you know right from wrong!

i do no longer consider the call!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She killed her toddlers separately. Her oldest son walked in on her interior the showering room on an identical time as she became drowning his 6 month previous sister, the boy ran contained in the direction of the homestead and Andrea Yates chased him and dragged him back to the showering room and then drowned him too (she knew what she became doing!!!). She ought to pass to reformatory the place she would be in a position to get tortured on a daily basis! somebody ought to stick her head underwater long adequate for her to think of that she is going to drown and then do the comparable situation to her day after in the present day, and day after in the present day, and day after in the present day after that. She shouldn't of gotten off so surely for killing her toddlers. A 6 month previous, 2yr previous, 3 year previous, 5 year previous, and a 7 twelve months previous, how are you able to kill your man or woman flesh and blood!!?? they are fairly asserting that it is okay so which you would be able to kill your toddlers in case you plead insanity! I STRONGLY DISAGREE WITH the call.

No... ANY mother who would drown her own kids has GOT to be insane. I would NEVER permit her release from the asylum! Feel free to shoot me, too...! I also agree with "lisathebestone." There's probably more to this than meets the eye. He just picks up a new life and walks away from it all...? I think not! God knows what's going on and everyone will be paid back - for evil and for good.

Ok: she was and is mentally ill.
There was plenty of evidence indicating she had severe mental problems even before she finished having all those children.
Her post-partum depression was a fact, known even to her ex-husband.
Leave the poor woman alone. She lost her husband, her children are dead.
What's that cliche about people living in glass houses not throwing stones?

Such a horrible story. She even chased down the last child to drown. I think she must have been very sick, otherwise how could a mother ever do that? All 5? Just makes me sick. Her mind had to have been broken to do that. Shot? I don't know, mental illness is a disease, as horrible as her crime was it's still a disease. May God welcome her children and may God have pity on her soul.

No, Yates is a loon. She deserves life in a mental institution.
Which, by the way, is not a picnic.

Of course I agree, this woman was insane when she drown her kids wasn't she? Why do so many people want to punish the mentally ill? She'll never be free to do it again.

NONONONONONONO No No NoNONONONOONO!!! The jury should be congratulated for breaking out of the box and looking beyond her horrible act, and realizing there are people out there so ill(and beyond many people's comprehension), they cannot be held responsible!

No. This woman obviously has mental problems. She needs serious treatment not the chair.
