I strongly agree with Colleen O's answer! Love is based on faith, not proof. If you think love has to be proven, you will never be happy, because it is impossible to prove. So you will just always doubt no matter what. That's like saying "I'll believe in God once somebody proves it to me." Or the old analogy about the guy who looked at his stove and said "Give me a fire and THEN I'll give you some coal!"
But, nonetheless, I have tried to "prove" my love; I continually tried to prove it to my first girlfriend who continually questioned my love for her. Once, I stopped the car on the side of a country road and kissed her for several minutes, despite the fact that I was partially obstructing the road and pissing off cars that had to go around me; they all slowed down and honked their horns at us and we just kept kissing. It was highly awkward but she insisted.
That, and one time at an amusement park I loudly talked dirty to her about what we were going to do in bed that night. God, was that ever embarrassing. People all over kept stopping and looking at us, and one woman turned and said "Excuse me, my children don't need to hear that!" But this was the kind of thing it took to prove to her that I wasn't ashamed of her.

Went skydiving with him. After I managed to regain a pulse, I realized what "being a fool for love" really means.

I don't feel there is a need to PROVE love. Love is and it stands on it's own, if one feels the need to prove it then it simply is not love.
