Yes. This happened to us. Try to siphon the liquid with a small tube, towels, or even try tipping the fridge out so you can get that out of there. Trust me, if you leave it go, you will have a health hazard, not just a stinky fridge. Be careful with chemicals as you are working around electricity and a motor that can spark. I would bleach the crap out of it over and over if possible. But get that pan empty first. Than fill with bleach and let it go. Your fridge will small like the pool at the Y for a while, but it will be clean. PS. look for another way to get that pan out. We didn't think ours would come out either and then we pulled one thing off and there was a lip we could pull. Nasty! Good Luck!

Probably not what you want to hear but you should make a better attempt at removing that drip pan for cleaning. If you don't clean it out, it's going to continue to smell. Otherwise, can you get a sponge in there without removing the pan?

this is what i would do,,first of all i would take every thing out of the fridge and clean the inside very well....then i would have someone tilt the fridge back so you can get to the bottom of the fridge (drip pan)..then spray it with bleach cleaner,,any will work..you might not be able to wip it but you know the bleach has killed the germs,, midnight cat why not just take the fridge out side and spray it off...if your going to go through all that trouble

The pan can be removed. It is harder with the newer models just because they aren't removed for regular draining Any longer. If the screws, lever, bar etc. holding it in is not up front then you will need to remove it from the back. After that use bleach 100%.

Make sure no cords get wet & you unplug it. Pour some good smelling liquid soap in then hook up a garden hose to your sink and shoot it out. Your floor will be a mess but that can be cleaned.

Ew, you are going to have to find a way to get it clean, maybe bleach the hell out of it. I see the words "freezer broke down" and I immediately think of maggots. Ew, bleach, bleach, bleach.

I don't know about gasoline - that might cause a fire/explosion.
Try bleach instead.
