It was called "Sunshine Girl". I think it was a minor hit in the mid to late 60's. The only line in the song I remember was "sunshine girl won't you stay with me..." I have been racking my brain (tiny as it is) for years trying to remember who sang this song!! Can you help?

The parade,i guess ita a band i dont relly know who they are but i just looked it up! heres the lyrics!
Finally made contact
She touched my soul and I
Felt the full impact
And the night stood still

Then I kissed her eyes with mine
As she knelt before me
Poured the wine
And told me her story
We lit a fire and watched it grow higher

Sunshine girl, won't you stay with me (Sunshine girl, won't you stay with me)
Sunshine girl, won't you stay with me (Sunshine girl, won't you stay with me)
Sunshine girl, won't you stay with me every night
It's so perfect

Magic all around, like I never felt before
And the only sound was the cracklin' fire

Then all at once the day was melting the night-time
Shades of dawn burst into sunshine
I took her hand and ran through the mornin'

Sunshine girl, won't you stay with me (Sunshine girl, won't you stay with me)
Sunshine girl, won't you stay with me (Sunshine girl, won't you stay with me)
Sunshine girl, won't you stay with me every night
It's so perfect

We watched the day melting the night-time
Shades of dawn burst into sunshine
I took her hand and ran through the morning

Sunshine girl, won't you stay with me (Sunshine girl, won't you stay with me)
Sunshine girl, won't you stay with me (Sunshine girl, won't you stay with me)
Sunshine girl, Sunshine girl, Sunshine girl, Sunshine girl
Sunshine girl, Sunshine girl, Sunshine girl, Sunshine girl
Sunshine girl, Sunshine girl

It was by Jerry Lee Lewis.

here are some of the lyrics...is this the song your talking about?

Moon moon I can see you sinking low
You make me think of a sweetheart a little girl that I love so
After I wonder the whole night through wondering if you think of me
Why am I lonesome thinking of someone I'm thinking only of you
My Carolina sunshine girl you have turned my heart to stone
My Carolina sunshine girl you have left me all alone
I wonder why I sit and cry
When I really should laugh at your photograph
For you're the sweetest angel in this world
And I love love love you my Carolina sunshine girl
I wonder why I sit and cry
When I really should laugh at your little old photograph
For you're the sweetest angel in this world
And I love love love you my Carolina sunshine girl

Heres another one if thats not the right one...it's by Hermans Hermits.

Sunshine girl I'm leaving soon
I'll be back some day

Sunshine girl I feel your eyes on me
Your looks excite me
I wonder can it be
Do you invite me
To hold you tightly
How you delight me
My sunshine girl

Tonight, tonight, and every night
I wanna be beside you
Tonight, tonight, and every night
I'll be the one to guide you
Happy and most empty
On the blue lagoon light hike
To sunshine girl
My sunshine girl

Sunshine girl, now I must go away
'Cause this was only
A summer holiday
But one day, I'll be
Returning, you'll see
Across the blue sea
My sunshine girl

Tonight, tonight, and every night
I wanna dream about you
Tonight, tonight, and every night
How can I live without you
When I'm home, then everyone will hear about
My little sunshine girl, my sunshine girl

Tonight, tonight, and every night
I'm gonna dream about you
Tonight, tonight, and every night
How can I live without you
When I'm home, then everyone will hear about
My little sunshine girl, my sunshine girl

Sunshine girl, I'm leaving soon
But I'll be back some day
Sunshine girl, I'm leaving soon
But I'll be back some day
Sunshine girl, I'm leaving soon
But I'll be back some day (fade)
