That depends on what you mean by soon, certainly a world war is on the way but will not occur until China takes aggressive acts to seize Taiwan and the oil in the south west pacific, which America is treaty bound to defend, not to mention its strategic and tactical significance. What we are experiencing now is not WW3, this is a regional conflict, in which the "2" sides are mismatched, and one which neither the Chinese or the Russians are not willing to be drawn into, hence it can't really become a world war, due to the lack of comparable adversaries. With all the unrest and strife in the world, yes, I believe WWIII will likely to happen, and it will be a nuclear war, with NO WINNERS, and the earth will be left uninhabitable, bceause of radiation poisoning. It sad, but this could happen, if things continue to do down rapidly as at has in recent years.

i don't know that there will be an actual label put on the war, as in WWIII, but i believe that if the middle east doesn't simmer down there will be a some kind of power struggle that most all nations will have to have a hand in...as that is what war is all about...that, and religion...always in the name of God! there is never any winners in a war of any kind...freedom is not gained by winning...it is gained by loss of lives, unfortunately....

Iraq and Afghanistan were relatively minor wars, as wars go...

dont comprehend approximately different religions yet ww3 became foretold in islam 1400 years in the past. it will be accompanied or preceeded by a three twelve months draught the like of which no human has considered. and afterboth of them, 5 out of 7 human beings would be ineffective. and now I truly have scientific instruct of that...i.e. the international warming and speedy conversion of agriculturable land into barren region.
