I live in St.Louis. Don't move here. Go to New York or Houston.

I like Florida. I would choose Jacksonville. The cost of living in New York is way too high. Taxes in New York City and in NY State are painfully high.
Houston can be brutally hot and humid in Summer. There's way too many people in Houston, way too may oil refineries close by. Hurricane exposure may seem to be a toss up with Jacksonville, but Houston is on the western end of the relatively shallow and warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. So they have been hit more often.
From Jacksonville, it is an easy one hour drive to Datona Beach. You can swim, watch car races, visit during biker week (if you have the nerve).

I'd say Houston, or New York. Anywhere bu Jax, only Tampa is worse than that place.
