Already get SSI & state assistance(food card, medical & a lil cash). But that dont even cover heating my home in the winter! Buying School clothes, gas to get to medical appointments, and taxables... Nope ~ dont cover those either. Need a better option. Caring for my daughter(and son) is priority one, but being able to sustain & provide a living is number two... HELP Please.

To Angela... Its obvious from your ignorance that you are not a compassionate person, but fortunately my daughter has a MOTHER, a LOVING MOM she dont need a medical insitituion! I sacraficed everything for her w/o any regrets. My daughter started dying when I returned to work and a job is NOT worth a CHILDS LIFE. You obviously dont know how to value LIFE. And I have made more money in my 36 years of life than many, but now it is a time of transition until i can return to work again. Dont worry smart *** Angela~ I am not a welfare case.

Are you aware of a program called HEAP? It's a state program that helps with energy costs. And contact any and all social service programs you can find (churches, food banks, etc.) What part of Ohio are you in? I'll see what else I can find for you. Good Luck & God Bless!!

Hey, I am a indepent provider, home heath aide, and i dont know much about how to get paid for taking care of your handicapped child, but have you talked to your local wefare office? I have a handicapped cousin, and her father gets paid for taking care of her from the state. How ever if you cant , for whatever reason. Have you considered a aide, they pretty much do for your child while you, work go to school, or whatever and the state will help you with one or the other, and I am sorry to hear of your unforntute mishap. I hope that helps

I hate to tell you this, dear, but SSI is not meant for heating your home in the winter and other miscellaneous expenses.
Put your diabled child in a sheltered workshop or alternate learning program for special needs students and get a job...
