There is no such thing as Divine Intervention. Jesus was NOT the son of God, because there is no God, or Devil for that matter. These are inventions by mankind to explain good versus evil. Mankind will have to save itself. American Indians believed in many gods and in the forces of nature. Those who insist there is a God and Jesus was his son and all that malarky are merely living in a fantasy world of their own choosing. Believe in yourself and those around you as real and able to shape your destiny. God and Jesus are imaginary beings (Jesus existed only int he historical sense, he was not otherworldly). Period.

Some of the rest of the world believes in the same God, but they have a different name for him. Either way, Jesus is the savior of everyone. He died for everyone's sins, not just America's. By the way, I'm sure the Book of Mormon has lots of interesting stuff in it, but I know that the Bible is definate in telling us of what the real deal with Jesus and God and what they want us to do and believe.

I'm glad you asked. The Savior visited other parts of the world immediately after his death and resurrection. The places he visited were in the Americas and you can read the histories that led up to his visit and what happened afterward by reading the Book of Mormon.
His visits with the peoples on the American continent is evidenced by the many legends held by our American Indian nations.
The Book of Mormon tells of two separate families traveling from Jerusalem at the Lord's commands. One such family was Lehi, his wife, Sariah, and four sons along with another family that they intermarried.
This family had separated right after landing by boat--the Lamanites who disbelieved in Christ and his Gospel, and the Nephites, the people living in true Christianity. Eventually, the Lamanites destroyed almost to the man every Nephite in the year 421 A.D. Before their destruction, a prophet named Moroni hid up golden plates as commanded by the Lord into a hill they named Cumorah. This hill is in present-day New York State near the town of Palmyra.
Another migration had come to the Americas much earlier than 600 B.C. and those peoples came out at the time of the Tower of Babel, arriving at the southern Central American coastlines about 2200 B.C. They thrived for only a few thousand years until they killed themselves off too in a most murderous and extended war of the lands.
As attested by the words found in the Book of Mormon, those early peoples were called Jaredites and had fallen away from the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Lord withdrew from them as a consequence and as a result, the wicked killed the wicked.
Yes, Jesus Christ had fulfilled his statement that, "Other sheep I have of this fold" and visited those ancients on this American continent. The Book of Mormon is a scriptural history of that paramount event and more.
Get the book and read for yourself.

And why weren't us skins mentioned in the bible let alone being saved? And how did the Galapagos turtles make the thousands of mile trek to the arc, and how did the fresh water fish make it? And what happened to the Neanderthals and 14 other hominids that became extinct, why did the homo sapiens make it? And why did the passenger pigeon survive the flood via Noah's arc, only to become extinct in the late 1800s? I could go on, but you get the point.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints believes that Jesus came to North America and preached to the natives here. You might check out their theological teachings.

The Mormons believe he did come to America to preach to the ancient Israelites who were here, if you believe in that sort of thing. Many in my family do.
