Thats a hard question......ive heard people debate on it and both ways have good stuff to back it up.....some people say chicken because animals can breed with other animals to make a diffrent animal (kinda like dogs)....some people say the egg because another animal could of hatched the egg and the chicken had an embryo inside it and hatched like that??? Honestly there are some wakey theries out there.....but to tell the truth no one will ever know for sure.....unless they can live centuries and centuries......so if people try to back up their answer with things like: its proven or im a scientist and have graduated with full marks or look at this article this proffeser proved it...or whatever, whatever....they really just have a strong opinion....unless you were there and you saw this creature or this egg.....then yr answer is just another opinion......

Too many people have asked this question, and I'm getting sick of seeing it posted on here!
To answer your question, the egg came first. You can't have a chicken unless it comes from an egg!

The answer, according to the "MindTrap" trivia game, is that the egg came first. Dinosaurs laid eggs millions of years before chickens evolved. Note that the question does NOT ask, "What came first, the chicken or the CHICKEN egg?"

Either one, no egg, there would be no chicken, and if there's no chicken to lay the egg, where does it come from. This has been a debate question for long.

It seems logical to me that a chicken came before an egg. I think nature proves the existance of a creator and I accept the Genesis 1 Bible story to be literal and true. Therefor the birds were created and then the birds had aggs.

The egg. Potentiality must always precede actuality, therefore, a potential chicken (egg) must proceed an actual chicken (chicken)

Logically, the chicken came first.
A chicken is real. You can see it, touch it, it occupies space, etc.
An egg is only a potential chicken. Reality trumps potentiality every time.
