Does anyone know a good location in wales where I can camp out for a weekend?
I don't want a campsite, just somewhere I can put up a tent, light a fire, put on some music and relax away from people and without going on some farmers land, somewhere pretty easily accessible (not at the top of a mountain etc).

Hey, what a coincidence.

I just so happen to be a world famous authority on places to camp in Wales!

You don't actually say which part of Wales you fancy, so let's go central. Builth Wells is very nice at the moment.

I presume you will be travelling the way all campers travel, which is by pushbike, so best set off fairly early in the morning.

Make your way to Builth Town Hall. With your back to the Town Hall front door, turn left and walk down the street (your bike will be okay chained up to the lampost outside the Town Hall - and anyway, nobody would steal a bike with such badly worn out tyres).

Take the first left (Highdown Terrace) and first right into Hillview Street. 3rd house on the left, the blue one with the pink curtains, belongs to the widow Thomas.

She's always out between 2pm and 3pm - she says she's been to Tesco but rumour has it she is secretly seeing Old Jim Thomas, the postman round these parts.

Anyway, it's worth waiting for her to come back. When you meet her, you tell her that old Slartybartfast has sent you and you want to pitch your tent in her front garden.

She doesn't charge a lot but make sure you don't snigger when the postman comes next morning.

And there you are
