dont just finish with him because he has gone travelling...no one should stop him doing that, he is broadening his horizons and making himself a better person, however when i went travelling i came back and couldnt mix with anyone for months and my relationship with my girlfriend was over in a month of me being home!

i would take the time to explore and grow a bit. when he comes back see if your relationship still feels right. if it doesn't then you two can still be friends, if it does great!!
