London is wonderful and exciting. The English are amazing. Not only are they friendly toward Americans, they actually possess empathy.

London is full of everything and people from everywhere.. If one watches closely, spies can be seen exchanging packets (True story). Mid-Easterners, are friendly, but may also ask to buy your daughter. (This actually happened) Expect anything. London has many of the attributes of New York, but is more beautiful.

Do visit the palace. If you wait the queen may leave. You may actually see her if you wait for the second car...the one which leaves after the crowd. It is impossible to get the guards at Buckingham Palace to smile. Madame Tussauds Wax Museum is the best in the world. Can you telll reality from fiction? Don't be certain..

Even if you can't afford to buy one thing, do visit Harrod's. You will see the world from a new perspective. Visit the Tower of London to see past brutality. Compare what you see to today. Has anything really changed? Humanity is humanity.

Talk to the British and they will be delighted to speak to you and give you their opinion. The British have a long proud history and sometimes they will remind you of it. It helps to know this before striking up a conversation.

i l loved London everytime I visited. They are friends of America. The transit system is astonishing. The buses are so well run. The police can actaully be trusted. The pubs are friendly places to get away and discover what is hidden under the "British stiff upper lip."

The countryside is another topic. The cottages are lovely and quaint. The English people are so dependable no matter what part of England you should visit. On my first trek to the ISLE, I was expecting little. As it turned out, England and Germany have become my most beloved countries outside of my own... America.

Please forgive any spelling errors. Spellcheck was having problems.

I've been to London a number of times, and think it's one of the best cities to visit anywhere. There's lots to see, and some places you can visit several times and not tire of them. But every time we visit, we see something new also - last visit, took in a noontime concert at St. Martins in the Fields and visited the Sherlock Holmes Museum and the Imperial War Museum for the first time. Time before, toured the recreated Globe Theater and took a boat ride up the Thames to Greenwich. Never get tired of the British Museum. There's still lots of things in London I'd like to see but haven't.

Getting around is a breeze - we always get the zone 1 tube passes - sometimes use them on the buses also, but the underground is fast and efficient.

The people I've met have been friendly and helpful. I live in the US, but my dad is originally from northern England, so I have some relatives in the UK although none in the London area that I know of.

There are lots of interesting things like all the museums and nice stuff in London. I like all the parts of England I have been to. I ive in England and the only place I have been outside of England is Wales. I really don't see why English people need to go abroad all the time when there is so much here.

London is and will always be my favorite city because it's so wonderful. I've been there more than 10 times and do hope there will be 10 other times. England is a nice place to visit ; it seems to be old and modern, strange and normal, ... hard to explain, just go there !
