I have the worst habit of laughing at the absolute most inappropriate times. And once I start doing it, I can't stop. I mean, this sh*t happens at funerals, when people are fighting, etc...God, how embarrassing. *blushes*

omg, i have the SAME problem
Once, my little brother wask chocking on a piece of steak, and i started LAUGHING! becuase i was sooo scared!
(my brother was fine) but i got in trouble for it!
god! i HATE this habbit!

I do it as well, often at the most inopportune moments. Laughter is the body's way of releasing certain "happy hormones" that relieve tension and help us think clearer, so it actually does serve a purpose in times of trauma, no matter how minor, like if we're nervous walking up on stage, or we see someone slip and smack their head on a table. Weird ways the human body works, aye?
