And does the right really understand the definition of Liberal.. or can any of you seperate the slippery slope Liberal Dems from the righteous freedom loving Democrat public servants ?

yes.
i know what conservites stood for in the past, read the works by Buckley and Veirk,
and
see with my own eyes the new breed of conservatism.

I have also read the views of old conservatives like Paul Oneil, and John Dean new book
Conservatives without Concious.

it basically states that the old conservative movement has been hijacked and something entirely more sinister has replaced it.

i think you should define what is an extremist.
seriously, in my opinion the right has moved soooooooo far from center that the left appears extreme, but in reality has remained the same for at least 20 years, with clinton moving it more to the center than any other president.

I didn't at first.. I just thought all conservatives had lost their minds. Now I'm starting to see (realize) a distinction. I'm pretty darn liberal but I think people need to stop demonizing the parties.. not all conservatives agree with other conservatives (same with liberals).

I don't know exactly what the answer is but we do need to start working together instead of continuing the mudslinging. I admit, I've done it. But I've been very angry at the Republican party lately. Hopefully we can find a way to work together.

From what I understand Neo-Conservative is a reference for Conservatives who are Ex-Liberals.

I guess what would mean me since im a Conservative who is an Ex-Liberal.

Yes we do.. Unfortunately the new conservatives have taken over the asylum. Makes it very hard to differentiate.
