If you are close to your delivery date and you took castor oil last night , then you have probably started yourself into labor. Time the pains from when they begin to build pressure to when they ease up a bit and see how far apart they are. Three minutes apart ...go to the hospital now...or if your water breaks go immediately. If the pains have no regular interval..call the doctor and let them know but they will probably suggest you rest off your feet and wait it out. Congratulations on your new baby !

I tried the caastor oil trick with baby number one. All it did for me was hurt my stomach. I had to use the bathroom alot! Castor oil is a trick they say makes you go into labor because it is a laxative. I got no lobor only the laxative part. Watch your symtoms and if you dont feel better call the doctor. Make sure you tell him you took the oil. For other people it causes so much cramping in the somach it makes you go into labor. Reguardless once you get past the taste of the nasty stuff it really cant hurt you. GOOD LUCK!!

Maybe, but everyone I've talked to that took castor oil to bring on labor, just had terrible stomach pains. Although, the way your describing your pain sounds like contractions. I had braxton hicks contractions two weeks before both of my babies (I thought they were real contractions).
If you want to bring labor on, try walking alot. I know it sounds dredful, but the more you walk, the more gravity pushes your baby downward.

Sorry, what I meant, was; that the castor oil could cross over, causing you infant, while in the womb, to "defecate" and then "breathe in" this GREEN TAR like substance, almost suffocating him/her at birth.
