I've questioned the existence of "stupidity". Acts that are called stupid are really one of the following three: (1) committed out of ignorance, and so, are not "stupid" (2) committed out of thoughtlessness or selfishness -- again, not a good motive but not "stupid" or (3) committed as an attempt to be funny or elicit laughter.
