I dont know if this makes sence and maybe its just a stupid question but is there such a thing that you can be to far along for a home pregnancy test to pick up?

No, you cannot be too far along in a pregnancy for a pregnancy test to pick it up. The hormone, human chorionic gonadotropin, detected during pregnancy would continue to be detected through the entire pregnancy. In fact, that hormones levels increase during pregnancy which would make the test more accurate with time!

I dont think so when I took my pregnancy test at 2.5 months the test didnt even take the whole three mins to show up. The only effect of how far along you are is how quickly the test shows. If you havent had a period I would suggest going to your obgyn or local health department

No. Elevated HCG stays in your body and rises throughout, so a pregnancy test would be easier to get a positive on as your pregnancy progresses.

No. If you're pregnant, it should show up. However, if you haven't got a positive response and you haven't had your period, you might want to go in. If you think you're pregnant, there is a slight chance that the fetus may have implanted in your fallopian tube, which poses a risk to your health if you wait too long. You still usually get a positive response in some cases, but its better to make sure.

No...the further along you are the more HCG your body produces. HCG is the pregnancy hormone which is what a pregnancy test detects. The further along you are the faster you get the result.

no. the test is looking for a hormone that is present during the entire pregnancy and a little while after birth. talk to your doctor and have them do a blood pregnancy test if you think you might be pregnant.

no. when you're pregnant, the hormone levels in your body change. that's what the test is measuring.

if you've missed your period for a couple of months or more and you're testing negative, there could be another reason. if you're too stressed or too unhealthy (overweight or underweight) you could stop getting your period. in any case, i would suggest seeing a doctor.
