Neutrogena is pretty good for a drugstore brand.
I have used that, and Mabelline Oil Control (even though my skin is normal type) I find that the color stays more true all day.
Some of the cheaper drugstore brands turn a little orangey because they react with your skin oil. Stay away from "wet n' wild" foundation!
What I have found makes a nice differences is "Physicians Formula" brand "mineral wear" pressed powder. I have light skin so I get the "translucent".
It is so much better than other pressed powders! Other powder kind of sticks to the peach fuzz on your face and makes it obvious that you have powder on. This one doesn't. It doesn't have any talc in it, so it seems to stick only to your skin, not to your peach fuzz.
Plus since it is the "Physicians Formula" it is only $6.00 - $7.00. I had though about buying that mineral makeup from TV, but forget it, just the powder was $40.00, the whole set was like $200. I'm not THAT into it.
Anyhow, I would totally check it out; I'm very loyal to it now that I have found it. Plus it doesn't make you break out. Most of the time I just use the powder without a foundation under it.
I do use a concealer under my eyes and on any redness I have. I use "Revlon Colorstay" Under eye concealer; it has a twist up style "sponge tip" applicator. But you still need to blend with your finger or another sponge. And you have to be quick. One eye at a time, because it sets in about 30 seconds then it is with you all day.
Good luck!

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer is great and very well formulated, but some people think the coverage is too sheer. Try L'Oreal True Match, it is a liquid that is easy to blend but gives you a soft, almost matte finish. It's great stuff, but I use Neutrogena in the summer because it's so hot & humid here and that holds up better.

i don't comprehend what you recommend by technique of "ideal", yet many of the photographs with appropriate skins are photoshoped, or already has a ideal organic skins, so do not assume any miracles from the starting up position. i'm making use of Estee Lauder Double placed on gentle, and persons are literally not believing that i'm wearing starting up position, and saying that my pores and skin is amazingly extremely sturdy. yet, I already don't have any zits, i'm basically purple on my cheeks, and its protecting it completely. It also has SPF 10. yet once you've a more effective problematical pores and skin, Estee Lauder Double placed on may be more effective constructive for you, it is more effective dense, and protecting more effective. I extensively utilized that one, yet considering the fact that i do not have a problematical pores and skin, I favored the gentle version. i believe you more effective constructive attempt it before you purchase it if its a threat. sturdy luck
