you could probably find out more about this wacked out church by visiting their website... and mind you, if you offend easily, steer clear of it. These people are nasty.

I think it's the town they are in. Perhaps a township section within a city. I also think it's from Kansas. Although they claim that their a Radical Right Christian denomination, they are in affect a sub-cult spin-off from the Southern Baptist Church (which, by the way, chooses to distant themselves as far away as they can from the Westboro Church). In my book their the Church of the Christian Neo-nazi Bigots. I wish someone would have the nerve to beat the s**t out of the bastard who is the head of it.

In olden times the villages were called boroughs.
It is shortened now to boro.
You can have northboro, southboro and westboro. I have not heard of eastboro, at least not in Mass. There is also middleboro and attleboro.
Interesting you ask about that church. I have a Bible in my possession from that church and don't know how I got it.

The church (actually, it's a cult) is in Topeka, Kansas. They are not part of any main-stream religious organization, but they use the name "Baptist" in their title. I can't find my source now, but I seem to recall that Westboro is the name of the county, however, I am not 100% sure about that.

Here is some info about them if you care to read any of it.

Hi
First of all look at the bible: It is a bunch of ( devinely inspired) letters that were put together but they reflected the life and times of the day as well many Christians were against Rome and one of the things that was easy to latch onto was the loose sex there especially homosexulaity so my feeling is that the letter reflected the angst of the writter more than the devine insperation god made all of us and i truly believe ( and I am backed up by science) that we are all born gay or streight it is not a choice.

I live in Kansas. They're all over here. People are pissed off ebcause a lot of that clan works for the state and they can't get fired. Fortunately, a few have broken away from them, but not enough.

Yes, it's the neighborhood in Topeka where the supposed church is located.

Anybody who isn't crazy will take one look at their website and if you don't agree that they are anything BUT a church, please tell me I'm wrong.

Excuse me for even typing the site name below, but if you are sincere, and read what they have to say, and you're not ashamed for them, I don't know what this world is coming to.
