i try not to. some decisions are not to be made without real soul-searching and looking from all angles, etc., but there are some that just have more than one way to go & those are the coin-flipper-way-to-go decisions. when you have explored all options and find that there are multiple paths to take for possible success, why not? or maybe, instead of flipping a coin, you use the eenie, meenie, minee, moe method? either way, acee/ducee? if it works, what the hell! just thought you'd like to know that in flipping a coin 100 times, you WILL NOT get 50% heads & 50% tails. laws of physics dictates the carved side of the coin is heavier & therefore gravity takes over. tails will prevail as the carved side is heavier, flips over more & tails have it! didya know? now you do!

Not a penny, no. It really should be a gold or silver coin, for best luck. But these days, they are hard to come by. If you do have one you keep specifically for flipping, make it one that is well worn, so it is not going to make a coin collector cry to see you drop it on the ground, as you occasionally will when you flip it.

Yeah, I flipped a penny to decide if I should answer your question or not.

I mainly stick with the eenie meenie miny mo strategy. but I've been known to flip a coin when I'm feeling frisky.

Lots of times! Never for anything big; always for things like "Which color should I paint the walls?" or "Pizza or Chinese tonight?"
