Go to your nearest college and talk to the counselor there. They can give you tests to tell you what your best aptitude is and what job would suit your best. Next check into program availability. There are grants out there which the counselors can explain how to apply for so you can go to college and get a better job. Your mother could do this too. There are a lot of things available especially for women though the local colleges..

Nursing is always in high demand, and is going to be even more in demand. The hours are regular and the school for it is tough, but not all that long.
That usually comes with some healthy sign on bonuses as well.
I feel for you, I'm working 70 hours a week and just barely support my wife and child.
I'm currently working My way towards a hotel management career.

Apply for your local county, city, jobs! They offer you full medical coverage, dental, 401k plan, holiday and vacation pay, and bi-weekly salary, and weekends off! Try applying at the courthouse's in your area, they post up positions all the time the work schedule works well with young children in school.
All you need is a high school diploma and some work experience.
Give it a try and see what happends.
Good luck

You could work for the United States Postal Service. You can call a local post office and ask them where to go to put in an application.

the economy is really bad now and there are stereotype in the work place. right now there is no solution. rich are getting richer and poor getting poorer. i would suggest keep sending out your resumes and sign up with many temp agencies. soon you will find that good job.
or find a second job but only if you have to.
