I mean, it's like they're not even human. You have a whole city, that after a year, are still begging for handouts.

You can't, but being from Texas, I can tell you that while 10% of them are doing something with themselves while they are here, the other 90% is still, after a year, asking for handouts.

Now, they've made it to where they can put $1 down on a house, and buy it for a total of, like $5,000. The thing that gets my goat about that is that they didn't have jack and crap before the hurricane hit, and they should have jack and crap NOW, unless they have busted their butt to get it.

What kind of an insensitive idiot are you? Thousands of people along the gulf coast lost everything the had....including their jobs. I'd like to see this happen to you and see how you handle it when any place you try to get a job wants a permanent mailing address and a phone number where you can be reached before they will even consider giving you a job. Maybe you have the answer for them on how they can "straighten their lives out" and quit "begging for handouts" when they have no place to go and no money to get there. I can certainly tell that you are definitely NOT a compassionate and caring person.

THEY LOST EVERYTHING!!! Its not like they can get everything back that was lost over night. If you were a Katrina victim wouldn't you want a little more too, after losing your house, your car, all of your belonings besides the clothes on your back?

Dude. The only person I see here that should go to hell is you. Are you so soul-less that you see people in pain & need as something evil to disdain? Let's take everything away from you and see if you don't need help getting back on your feet. Heartless bastard!

Well, if you want them to go back, get off your ***, and volunteer to help clean the city up. Apparently the government is not capable of stepping up and handling it, so it has fallen to the generous people giving their time and skills. If you have nothing to offer, that shut the f**k up!

Not all of them have the resources to survive. Galveston, Texas was wiped out years ago from a hurricane, and it wasn't rebuilt overnight either.
