Today, at the park along the jogging trail, I (male) sat on the ground to get a pebble out of my shoe, and when I was tieing up my laces, a mentally handicapped man shot his hand under my shorts and literally went for my anus. I rolled awway but not before he had squirmed his grimey bare hand all around my sensitive zones.
I was in shock most of all. So violated out of the blue. What does a guy do when a retarded man gropes you on the jogging trail?
I couldn't tell how old he was. I first passed by him and a woman that I assume was his mother. But when he made his bold attack, his mother companion was nowhere to be seen. I searched around for that woman, but when I couldn't find her, I just left, because I wasn't sure what I'd tell her, or even if I wanted to tell anybody at all about this, as humiliating as it is.
What should I do? I'm afriad to go back there, now.
This has been a very, very bad week. I can still feel his hand back there and my body feels so tainted and used.

I've seen him and his mother at the park one or twice in the past, and it's obvious to everyone he's mentally handicapped.
As angry as I am, as a man, I still think it's wrong to strike any handicapped person, mentally handicapped worst of all.

Retarded or not my first response I know would be to punch him and say what was on my mind and everyone in the park would know. Maybe that would be stupid of me but I don't take to kindly to anyone touching me without me having any say. There obviously isn't anything can be done now and you know now to watch your back and the people around you. ak

You beat him until he is on the ground, unable to move except to cry. "Retarded" doesn't mean "immune to consequences" and it doesn't mean "incapable of learning". It means they don't learn at the same rate as everyone else, so you have to make the lessons count more.
I appreciate that you feel you should not strike a mentally handicapped person.
But you're simply wrong.
If he doesn't know it's "wrong" to grope people, then he'll do it again, maybe this time to a woman. He has to be taught that it's wrong, and when it comes to mentally retarded, or any other dumb animal, they only learn thru pain.
You now know what you must do.

Just try and get over it, there's nothing much you can do now. As for being scared to go back, just make sure that when you do go back, he's nowhere near around you. If he really is mentally handicapped, he might not have had enough sense to know not to do that so slugging him, like the first person said, wouldn't be the appropriate thing to do.

Depends- if there's a girl there & he's looking up, probably a proposal Otherwise, tying his shoe laces Although it would be really funny if he started sweet-talking her, got one one knee, and proceeded to tie his shoe :)
