I'm having a really hard time telling my parents i like a girl. What should i do? I tried hiding it before but my mom found out from my girl friends friend. so how and should i tell my parents i like someone or just not tell them

I'm going to assume from your concern that you are a lesbian, because for a boy it wouldn't be an issue.
So take a deep breath.
You said your mom found out. How did she react? If she hurt you physically or started yelling about going to hell, keep your mouth shut and your head down. You won't live with her forever, and once you leave home you can live how you want to.
If, on the other hand, your mom was understanding and, if not happy for you, at least accepting, you should tell them. It hurts your family to find out that you didn't trust them with such an important part of yourself.

How is it hard to tell your parents you like a girl from your school or whatever. I think you should be able to tell your parents anything. They should be like your friends. They want to know whats going on in your life. if you cant really find a way to tell them. Tell them when your ready. Yah parents want to know everything. but sometimes its between you and that person.

You should be able to tell them like *that* You really shouldn't have any problems. Telling parents things is hard but it gets easier as you get used to it.

It depends. If the parents are strict it is, if not then it should be just fine. My parents are super strict so when I had a boyfriend, I had a hard time trying to find a way to tell them about him. If your parents are anything like mine, then yes, it will be tough. Hopefully they arent. lol

Your a boy right? I can understand it's embarrassing don't see why you have to tell them unless its serious. I did not tell my parents I liked a guy for a long time.

well ur a guy and i'm agirl so it will be differnt but moms are usually easier because they understand what u mean about stuff but dads are usually more uptight thinking the worst in things so i would tell my mom first but bring it up casually like hey mom have u ever liked short guys and bring it up that way!

Ask for advice parents love to know they have helped. Say Mom there is a girl i like, what should I do...see what she says, i bet she says talk to her or invite her for dinner, you are telling her but turning it around - be clever!

we ALL had that problem and i still nhave it now. emotinal parents. anywho, the truth is going to get out so if you want to tell her go ahead. if you want her to find it out later., just answer more of these questions. best of luck
