Not personally exactly. I once bought custom made shirts for my husband. The shop also had the same named person as my husband. I included his middle name to distinguish the two accounts.

I once spoke to someone on the phone who had the same name as I did, including the spelling. I have a VERY unusual name, let alone the spelling.

Currently, there is a name brand clothing outlet that has my first initial and last name. My sister has a lot of fun shopping for me there. She feels like she's getting 'customized' clothing for me ! Also, my husband has confusion when he sees products from this store on other people.

Yes. I am white, he is african american. Exactly with the same middle name !!! We kept looking at each other, started laughing. We were introduced by a mutual friend who knew both of us. He was a retired prison guard in Peoria, IL , I was going to college in Detroit. That's not all-There is a baseball player with the same name that played in the 1920's for th St. Louis Browns.

My best friend has found and contacted most of eight people with exactly the same name as his he found on the internet. Spread all over the USA and Canada. None are related to him.

Yes I did. When my girl-scout troop went to the nursing home to "adopt" an elderly person to spend time with, I met another CAC (my initials), spelled exactly the same way. We had the same birthday, the same color hair and eyes, the same vision problems, same hair type (curly), same skin tones, she was a writer, and I wanted to be a writer...

It was really, really unsettling. I was sad when she died two weeks later, but ever since then, I'm afraid of that day, because every year I think I'm going to die like she did.

Yes...I service computers at the Daimler Chrysler Headquarters and the service call I had was a gentleman with the same first and last name as mine.
Very weird ...I should have asked to see his social security number.

There was a guy in a town near me that had his house raided by cops and sheriff.
Could you imagine if it was you!

He was arrested for child molestation and turned out it was mistaken identity the guy had the same name and his social security number was only one number off.

I know that there's a girl w/ the same first & last name as me. She's registered @ the same hosp as me. They'll sometimes ask me bout the middle name, it starts w/ an E but forget what it is... My middle initial starts w/ a B. What's even weirder is that she's born the same yr as me ! My b-day is in Oct & hers is in June. So she's 27 already :P

BUT, I wasn't born w/ the last name that I have. When my Mom asked the Dr. to have my name be the same as my Dad's the nurses said that they couldn't ! Meanwhile, my cuz (who was born there also, he's only a few mos older) got to have the same last name as HIS dad... Otherwise it woulda been even weirder that we have the same name.

Two and a half years ago, I drove 60 miles to look at a car that I was interested in buying. I told the woman at the other end of the phone what my name was and what time I would be there. She thought it was her friend winding her up, until I turned up. Then she explained things to me and introduced my namesake to me. It was very weird!

if I did it would have to be my doppelganger, and I would totally $h!t my... you know the rest :-p

The term has, in the vernacular, come to refer to any double or look-alike of a person, most commonly in reference to a so-called evil twin, or to bilocation. Alternatively, the word is used to describe a phenomenon where you catch your own image out of the corner of your eye. In some mythologies, seeing one's own doppelgänger is an omen of death. A doppelgänger seen by friends or relatives of a person may sometimes bring bad luck, or indicate an approaching illness or health problem.

Yes, before I ever got married and still had my maiden name.
I worked for the telephone co and there was a lady with the same
name. We had different middles names tho. I was very young then. She was somewhat older than I and we though it was
pretty neat as we both have unusual names.
