depends what shoes im looking for. If im buying sneakers i would spend between $60-100 , but when im buying shoes other than sneakers(which is most of the time) i spend less than 40 dollars.

For a good pair of tennis shoes I would spend maybe 75. I will splurge on a pair of birkenstocks mules up to 150! Dress shoes-well you can find cute dress shoes for under 50.
