Yeah, we're poor students in debt that do not have money to do a lot...but we do have a car to drive....any suggestions?!

Eww. If you are in LA definately do NOT go swimming like the other girl said. Yuck. But I'd go window shopping somewhere or walk the boardwalk at the beach. Beach volleyball is great exercise, or maybe ride bikes on the paths by the beach. Um.....visit a few cheap galleries or something like that. Depending on how far you can afford to drive maybe go to the foothills and go hiking. If all else fails go to Venice and enjoy the freaks.

CENTRAL AVE JAZZ FESTIVAL (Sat & Sun @ 11AM-6PM)
This weekend features lots of great festivals, and this is one of the better ones, right in our own backyard! Two days of live music celebrates the Central Avenue artistic heyday of L.A.'s African American community from the 20s-50s. Ethnic cuisine and cultural arts, crafts and education booths compliment the celebration. Located on Central Avenue across the street from the historic Dunbar Hotel, this year the festival features a fascinating look at the too-little acknowledged talents of L.A.'s female jazz artists via the theme, "Los Angeles Women of Jazz." Sunday there's the surfing contest and beach games in Huntington Beach. The main events are this coming weekend (Sat & Sun). Put on your bathing suit, grab your chair & umbrella, sunhat, sunglasses & sunblock, then join us for a day at the beach. Lots of food joints are right across from the pier, or bring your own lunch.

1) Go for a walk and bring a picnic lunch with sandwiches and stuff.
2) Go to a free art gallery, museum, poetry reading, open mic night.
3) Go out dancing and just drink water all night!
4) Do you have any board games? Play chess, cards, etc.
5) Go to visit people you know.
6) Go swimming.
7) Go for a hike.
8) Go fly a kite--literally!
9) Go for a bike ride.
10) Go somewhere and people watch.
11) Go window shopping.
12) Volunteer somewhere.

Buy a cheap disposable camera and take silly pictures.
