a penpal is a person you have correspondence with by mail.
penpals write to each other about everything and anything... there are agencies that exchange adresses of people all over the world and arrange penpals to start writing to each other.
i used to have a penpal in finland and another one in germany, mostly to practice my language...
we wrote for a few years but never met. some penpals do arrange to meet some day.

yeah i know what a penpal is.but most people don't have penpal's any more.they have friends that they right to every know and then.
