If you were in a situation where you needed to leave your house immediately, and only had time to grab one thing, knowing that anything you left behind would never be seen again, what would that one thing be?

I know this may sound sick and Im not trying to be. My mother. My mother died recently and she was cremated. I have her remains. We were really really close. So to lose her again would be even harder. I couldn't bare it. I would grab her.

I think that I would grab a medal that I won at a track meet. I guess it just keeps reminding me to press on, train harder, and live life to the fullest.

my stack of things i've written, mostly poetry.

i've written down on paper feelings i might never have again, so losing those writings would be losing a very important part of me.
