How do I convince my mom to let me shave my legs?

My mom just says it'll just come back thicker... I already know that!!!!Geez!!!She also says that she has never done this before and I KNOW she's lieing.How can I convince my mom?!!!?!?!?!?

You can show this posting to your mother if you like.

If your legs are hairy and you are walking around in shorts or a skirt/dress and you are twelve and older, there is no reason for you not to be able to shave your legs. Whether you mother chooses to shave her legs or not is irrelevant. That is her choice.
You are the one that has to walk around in society feeling self concious about the hair on your legs NOT YOUR MOTHER.
AMERICAN women in general shave their legs.
The hair does not come back thicker, it comes back a little coarser.
I let my daughter shave her legs at age 12 and she is a blonde!
The hair looked terrible and she was self concious about it so off it came. Yes the mother part of me felt wow she is tooo young for this but it had to come off.

I hope that your mom reconsiders her position !!

Tell her that there are products out there where you really do not have to shave at all. All you have to do is put a thick coat of it on your legs and then wait a few minutes, then wash it off. It is that simple. Can't remember the name of the product, but I do know that they play the commercial for it all the time. Maybe Neve or something like that, but, there are more products like that.

I had the same problem. Just do it, especially if you're 12 or older. What girl wants to walk around with hairy legs? Shave them or get them waxed, and be able to live with the consequences of how your mom will react.

tell her that your acquaintances tease you and you merely want to be comfortrable wearing skirts, shorts, capris, etc. Ask her why she does not want you to initiate shaving and each so often that works through fact each and every so often mothers do exactly no longer want their "little ladies" to advance up and thats no longer a solid reason lol. and additionally ask her while she began shaving cuz probability is, she began shaving around your age too. or possibly you ought to ask her approximately hair removing creams like Veet or Nair. Tell her that it looks so bad and you could do it behind her back.. thats what I did and she never found out... Tell her that this really means something to you and me and my mom made some kind of exchange she told me that I could shave but I needed to help her with the chores around the house., and I did..!

If you're old enough to write this decent question, you're old enough to shave your legs. Holy Crap! My daughter is 8 and her legs are hairy. She asked me to shave them for her, so i did. Tell your Mom to choose her battles more carefully. She can say no when you decide to smoke, use drugs, dress like a whore, etc. Don't waste the "no's" on petty things.

Just tell her hairy legs are gross and unlady like, especially in the summmer! Tell her her dreams of a son in law and future grandchildren are out of the water if u dont shave ur legs!

your Mother is right do not start shaving and you will have smoother legs than the girls who shave,and yes the hair comes back thicker and whiskery seriously don't start shaving you will be much happier in the long run

You tell her that if you don't shave your legs it'll just grow and grow so ask her and see what she says my mom wouldn't let me shave my legs but now I can!
