What would you do? Let's say you go shopping, and end up buying your favorite food item (ex: bag of oreo cookies). You go home eat a few and put the rest of them back in the cabinet. Sometime later you go back into the cabinet and happen to look up, and oh what do you see, the bag of oreos! And if you're like me, you check the expiration date. It just so happens that they expire the next day. So, do you A.) Hurry up and eat the rest of them; or do you B.) Put them back in the cabinet, because you don't feel like eating them at the moment and say to yourself I'll eat them by tomorrow. Which of course, you end up cursing yourself for forgetting to eat them and end up throwing them away.

Not sure what you are asking but I think if I were to pick either A or B, I'd choose B because that sh** aint good fopr you anyway. Might as well let them expire and waste your money than to contribute to bad health. If ur a fat ***, then I'd probably absorb the oreos.

The expiration date does not mean you have to throw them away, if they smell fresh enough to eat, that usually means within a year after the exp date, eat them whenever.

there are so many preservatives in oreos that i would eat them within a week or two and not panic about it. on the other hand if it truly would expire, like a frappucino or something, i'd finish it up, after all, as you said, this is my favorite food item. :)

well, it depends.

If you realize they're expired before you open them, you can take them back.

But if you already ate some the day before they're bad, it doesn't matter if you finish them the day they're expired. They're actually still good. They're usually bad two or three days after the expiration date.

If you didn't know they were about to expire before you checked the expiration date(say, becuase they were stale)...then there's no rush to eat them.
