I love cats and dogs both, and have had both all my life. But why do people who hate cats seem more agressive in their hatred than people who hate dogs? You always hear people say what horrible things they want to do to cats, but rarely do you hear peope say they want to do horrible things like that to dogs. I know both animals are abused and killed all the time, but I dont understand why the cat haters seem more vocal about it. Any ideas?

Also, why compare cats and dogs- just because both have fur? It's like comparing reptiles and fish because they both have scales. Dogs and cats are TOTALLY different!

have you noticed that people who are the most vocal Cat Haters are people that tend to be Control Fanatics?

Its because dogs are much easier to train than cats are,... Cats are a lot like children, they have moods and a lot of them just love to play. Like children, cats are very very difficult to train. You need a lot of patience and love to train a cat to do anything.

Often its the cat that is the one that is doing the training ( I'll bet those cats are laughing hilariously behind their impeccable poker faces).

I guess you can tell I'm a cat owner,... I like dogs too, in fact love all animals.

You might like to consider that, if a dog owner were to mishandle their dog, that dog might turn on them. Cats are much more resilient.
If the master betrays the dogs' trust, the dog will attack the master.
If a cat owner betrays a cats love for their master, well cats are tough, they just move on and get on with life. Unless they're cooped up in an apartment, they will just end up ignoring you and destroying all your possesions.

Most of the cat haters, I've observed are also very abusive to thier own human children.

If you want to know the truth, I think it is an anti-female, sexist thing. Think about it.........."pussy cat." Never is a man associated with felines (females). It's always, "The dog is man's best friend." See? It's anti-female aggression. I love a man who likes both cats and dogs. But they're hard to find. I'm telling you, it's male driven.

Hey, that's a good point. I never thought about it, but you're right. Maybe it's because they feel more confident that they'd be able to take down a cat and not so confident that they'd be able to take down a dog. I really don't know...but I dunno why anyone would want to hurt either animal.

maybe because cats are smaller and dogs can easily defend theirself but for a cat they can defend themselfs but people aren't as afraid of them. i think as it as why do people have guard dogs why don't they have guard cats ??
why don't police have cats in the car rather that dogs??
