and I hit a deer. It ran right in front of me. I couldn't avoid it no way. I feel so sorry for that poor deer. It was a small deer. I couldn't just leave her on the road and let another car run her over. It wasn't easy, but I was able to put it in my trunk! The legs were sticking out! Anyway It was late and I still had one more meal to deliver. When I got there, ( the guy is 90 years old) he saw the deer"s poor legs sticking up and asked me what happened. I completely broke down and cried and cried and cried. After I told him my story. He said " its O.K. young lady, I'll take it off your hands, I love venision." So I thanked him and together we dragged it up hill to his garage. He was so excited he didn't even want the wonderful meal I brought him. Was I wrong ? I supposed to be a meals "on" wheels person. But I gave him a meal "under" the wheels! :)

First of all, Thank you for delivering meals on wheels. There are not nearly enough people to do that. Secondly I lived for many years where there were so many deer it was hard not to hit them. When I came home from work at night there was a huge
corn field by the road. They jumped out in front of people all the time. They get confused by the headlights. You should never assume that a deer is dead tho and never approach one. If the
deer isn't dead it can do you a lot of damage with those hoofs.
You did alright tho, but the next time just call for help, ok?

If by technique of 'T.V. dinners' you recommend those undesirable frozen issues which should be microwaved then that DOES could suffice for most because that's the purely way that they'd get a warm meal. some so-pronounced as foodstuff-on-wheels amenities now serve those also while they used to furnish perfect freshly cooked dinners which persons extremely loved. Like maximum different issues in existence foodstuff for the elderly were dumbed down and cheapened till they're on the point of revolting. The elderly are a virtually forgotten team of folk and, at the same time as they're remembered, they're meant to be oh so grateful for what's thrown their way. They deserve more effective constructive yet, regrettably, each and everything has a fee and some issues now fee too extreme a fee. If frozen foodstuff are nicely perfect then they could of direction be further weekly and that is precisely what does happen in a lot of households. If the foodstuff were not frozen there is not any way per week's furnish ought to easily be refrigerated without there being a virus of food poisoning. that's unhappy scenario all round extremely and each and every time there should be cutbacks the elderly will be the first objective. all of us ought to imagine that we had not in any respect offered any type of service to others.

You were very brave to have put it in your trunk in the first place. My mother hit a rat that ran in the street and she cried too. No. I don't think you were wrong. I am sure you must feel guilty. If there was truly no way to avoid it, then it was okay. I always follow the law of the jungle. "only kill to eat or to keep from being eaten" since the old man made the proper use of the deer then all is well.

You should have left the deer on the side of the road & called the humane society or animal control.
The man you gave the deer meat to may not know how to cut & dress the meat properly and even if he does, the deer may have been sick or had disease & could cause the man harm if he eats it.

lol... I think you did ok.... if the deer was sick in the 1st place they usually stay alone to die. I dont think you will make that man sick. It was very brave of you to stick it in your trunk though! In my state roadkill is fair game! I wish I could hit a cow and get some free steak!

NOT cool, you should have left it there and let animal control take care of it. The deer could have been sick, and you could have made that man sick.
