for a 10 year old, take your friends to the park or something and play basketball, volley ball, baseball....swing on the swings, play on the jungle gym..ride your bike with your friends..dance around your room..try to cut out so many sweets and don;t drink pop or juices. water should be your best friend. tea is also good if you use splenda to sweeten it.

I hate how people think you're too young to worry about your weight, when you're not. It's great you're wanting to make healthy decisions and take care of yourself, so don't let people discourage you with the "oh you're too young" stuff! good luck hun.

Well, I joined a gym called Curves, and I lost 15 pounds and 11 inches in three months. I think the minimum age is 15, though, you might wanna check on that. But if you can't get to a gym, then stuff like walking and swimming will burn calories, and swimming will actually relax you too. You can also lift weights if you wanna tone (get rid of and make into muscle) any arm flab you might have (that's my biggest problem...>

The best thing to do at your age is cardio. Running, walking, stair climbing etc. You could cut down on your fats and some carbs, but at your age you need lots of protein. Carbs are good for energy, but don't eat a lot of sugary stuff. Eat whole wheat bread and pasta and wild rice. Stick with Chicken and fish and lean meats. Probably eat less than 2000 calories a day (not too much less though,) and you'll do ok. When you run, or walk, make sure to stay hydrated. Drink lots of water

Aerobic sports, like running, soccer, basketball, swimming, skipping rope, bike riding, roller skating. Crunches and pushups can strengthen your muscles, but they won't make you lose weight. You have to do some sort of exercise where you work up a sweat and raise your heart rate in order to lose weight.
How tall are you, and how much do you weigh? Sometimes people think they're fat, and they're actually a healthy weight.

start running- go for jogs that are at least 30 min's long each day- ride your bike alot- stop asking your parents to drive you places, and either ride your bike there, or walk. Join a sport like soccer, or start swimming lessons. Stop watching so much tv, and stop surfing the net so much- get outside and move!

If you are almost 10, you probably are not fat. Maybe still babyfat. Walking a lot can't hurt. Ask your parents to take you to a pediatrition and they can plan meals for you. Lay off the candy and sodas.
