I flew into the Las Vegas Airport Thanksgiving Day almost 6 years ago. My flight got in later in the evening (9 or so) and it was relatively empty. If you are flying to LSV on Thanksgiving; the later the flight, the less crowded. Remember that the day before Thanksgiving is one of the heaviest (if not the heaviest) travel day of the year. So be prepared for crowds those few days before Thanksgiving.

It's always busy, but I fly out on Thanksgiving day almost every year and don't have a problem. Just be there at least 2 hours ahead of time. the airport is very functional and I find it easy to get through.

las vegas is particularly busy at thanksgiving. i worked at bellagio for a few years and every thanksgiving it was a mad house. many people don't want to cook anymore for that holiday so they go out. all the buffets do thanksgiving specials. the line at the buffet was a 3 hour wait and still the people came.
thanksgiving is the busiest travel days of the year regardless of where you go.

The LV airport is busy 24/7 but handles the traffic very well. Even on really busy days, like the week before New Years, it's pretty smooth.

Flights land at McCarran Airport in Las Vegas about every 90 seconds 24 hours a day, every day. (I actually counted because I looked at an apartment near the airport and wondered about the noise.)

It's always busy, especially to people who have never been there. Even folks that have been there before, tend to gamble on the slots while waiting for their bags (baggage claim is downstairs).
