....depends on if the platonic friendship turns into a good relationship.
If not, the pointless g/f will work for me, everyone you go out with teaches you a lil something, so they're not as pointless as you think. Plus being celibate sucks.

It sounds like you are having a problem with judgmental thinking. Everyone , has value, every person has potential for being a great friendship, and the fact is, those bf and ff which seem pointless are only so because you have in all probability not invested much of yourself in those relationships. If you have been taking those bf/gf for granted, certainly they will seem to be of little value. Your investing time and energy in any person will enhance the probability that they may become good or even great platonic friendships. Sincerely

I am in a really good platonic friendship. But currently, I just find people disappointing in a way. I don't know why, it's probably me. I have a hard time trusting people, and with that, I'm not one to kiss and f*ck about. I've only ever had one boyfriend. Turned into a mess.
I'd vouch for the friendship any day.
Problem is when it's between opposite sexes and it...turns.

A platonic relationship is good. Sex can complicate things. I am sleeping with most of my friends that are women. I hang out with the guys and sleep with my women friends. Women and men don't get along very well together unless one of them are gay. I'm happy with what I got. Good question.
