The most important thing to do is to show that you respect her by listening to her. Any woman will appreciate a man who is prepared to take the time to do this, so ask questions and let her do most of the talking.
Secondly, be honest. If you want the relationship to last it has got to be founded on truth, so no lying or exaggeration in order to try and impress.
Lastly, and I've just checked with two of my daughters aged 16 + 17 on this, they can actually find it quite sweet if a guy admits to being a bit shy. Use your judgement on this according to how things are going.

Then why is she your girl friend?
You should choose someone to be ur g/f or b/f because you enjoy being with them and can easily talk to them about things.
How can you be attached to someone that you appearently don't know or feel comforable with?
Well, I suppose the best thing you can do is ask things about her. What does she like to do, what does she want to be, what are her favorite foods, movies, books, and how does she feel about this or that.... find out about her and then talk about the things that you have in common.

well, you got as far as getting her to be your girlfriend, so just talk to her about your interests. ASk her about hers. It would be nice if ya'll knew each other. I mean, she is your gorlfriend. Good luck. Relax, don't get to overly-anxious. She's probably as nervous as you.

Just talk kid. The more you do it the easier it gets. Be yourself. Ask her about her, what she likes, who she likes. Girls like the conversation to be centered on them. They are whores for attention.
