There's an old superstition that if an Opal is your birthstone it's good luck to wear one, and bad luck to ever take it off once you put it on unless you're replacing it with a more expensive piece of jewlery.
I bought an opal ring my first semester of college and I still never take it off unless I'm doing something that might damage it. As soon as my hands are clean again, it goes right back on my finger.

I can't help avoiding walking under a ladder.

I work in the medical profession, so, we believe that we will have a crazy night if it is a full moon. It's true by the way.

Broom falls-someones coming.

Blood on the moon.

Everything comes back to you three fold.

Lucky pennies :)

A superstition in the US is that a penny is considered to be lucky if it is found laying on the ground. I know that pennies don't create luck, but it's still fun to pick them up.

this superstitions happened long ago and some of it still lives, we got this from our forefathers, some of it i still believe that is why i don't it...

...cutting your finger nails or toe nails at night
...sweeping the floors at night
...whenever you pass by a church you have to make the sign of the cross (BTW I'm a Catholic)
...if you break a glass or a mirror, u will have bad luck for years...
