I honestly don't believe there is such a thing as a "perfect mate" There must be compromise in any, and I do mean any relationship. For me a hard working man is a real turn on... no yellow stripe down my man's back. I also apreciate old fashioned ideas about what a marriage should be about. Things like honesty and kindness are a must. My hubby is likely the kindest man ever to walk this earth, but that doesn't mean that we always have good days. That's where the comprimise comes into play. I also need to know that my trust can be safe in his hands.... I couldn't stand the thought of being cheated on. I know that everyone has their flaws so I chose to seek a man that was a bit insecure about something. My hubby thinks he has a big nose (I love it) and that he's short (I love that too), since I'm pretty insecure it works out well that he is a bit as well. Hope that I have answered your question. Understanding, honest, trusting... I love a guy who can show his heart too. Smart guys who don't flaunt it are also a turn on. I do you love a guy who can be silly and fun too. Creative guys also make me weak with delight!!
I think the most important thing in a perfect mate is that there is something about them that doesn't make you feel alone in this world anymore.... That kind of understanding and acceptance from any guy is what would seal the deal for me.

After nine years of being single I decided to be picky too. So I ask myself what do I really what out of life? Comfort, friendship and honesty.
So I looked at men like I look at my career you always want to advance up NOT DOWN.
For me he had to make more money than I and be comfortable with himself - laid back and easy going.

Must have a JOB!
Must be clean and not dress like a bum
Excellent oral and personal hygiene
No prison or criminal record
Must not be hundreds and thousands of dollars in debt
No ex and bad *** kids to cause problems

Honestly , i dont think you can look for a perfect mate,i think it just happens , you will know if he or she is the one ,I mean you know what you are attracted too n what you need.........Every1 want to feel safe in a relationship.Mostly i think every1 want to find someone thats honest, that will treat you like you treat them ,in some cases someone that likes children ,Personally i look for someone that true to themself , has the ability to return unconditional love, n sence of humor n most of all someone that likes children, I consider myself to b very lucky .......... they say 3rd times a charm.....good luck .........

I am already married and made a commitment before God, so I can't take it back, but if I were to do it over again I'd make sure to find someone who lets me be me and doesn't always try to control or change me. Someone who makes me feel good about myself and feel like I am better when I am around him and he is better when with me.

I look for how they treat me, how they treat others, if they stand up for themselves, save their money, don't have a lot of bills, if they have never been married, have no kids, and are an only child from a wealthy family. Looks don't matter to me.

NO CHEATING for one. I hate cheaters. He has to be nice and caring. He has to be able to tell me his feelings. And he needs to be at least somewhat attractive but you know there is no such thing as a decent guy who is also cute.
