I have a 1990 Trooper which has either a 2.6 or a 2.8. I've checked all the stickers in the engine compartment and the only engine ident I find doesn't come straight out and say what it is. How do I figgure out what engine I have?

I assume back then they had a large 2.6 4 cylinder and a small 2.8 V-6? Go look at this one on ebay it has a 2.8 V-6 If it has 4 spark plugs it is the 2.6 4 cylinder, if it has 6 spark plugs/wires its the 2.8 V-6
