You could try 11hrvacations.com. They have listings of available last minute tickets, condos, vacations, etc.

You could also try asking around to your friends & neighbors, family who are airline personnel. They can get you buddy passes for cost of the taxes.

It depends on when you want to go, and to where you'll be flying.

The cheapest tickets will typically originate out of a major Atlantic coast airport, like New York, Boston, or Atlanta. The cheapest destination is invariably London. Sometimes good deals can be found to Shannon, Ireland or Amsterdam, Netherlands.

If you need to fly deeper into Europe, try connecting from one of these major cities on a low cost carrier like EasyJet, RyanAir, or WizzAir.

The least expensive times to travel are following Thanksgiving, but before December 15th or so, and after January 3rd, approximately. The most expensive times are in the summer months. Try to book three months ahead, or diligently use some of the other suggestions that others have posted like using Orbitz, Sherman's newsletter, or price fare tracking from companies like Expedia and Yahoo!

Good luck!

sign up for travelzoo's newsletter. they give you the best deals on the internet every week. i've seen round trip tickets to europe for a few hundred bucks. another way to travel cheap is to do a study abroad program with your school. the best part is they often include food, lodging and transportation and college credits. a lot of people i know just extented thier stay after the trip to stay in europe an extra few weeks and see the additional things thier study abroad didn't cover.
