My first date with my husband, we went shoppng for a birthday gift for my best friend, then to a coffee shop, and sat in a park by the riverfront and just talked. Then we went to Wendy's for dinner. :)

My date would take me to a nice, small, cheap restruant where we would havea little nosh.
Then, we could either walk through a park or go to a nice movie.
Finally, he would take me home and call me the next day.
