I accidently got my dell mp3 player wet with water from my sink. At first nothing would work and you couldn't turn it on. After a day though it could turn on and was playing but none of the buttons would work. Now the buttons start to work at random times after it's been left on for a while but not consistently. I heard that putting rubbing alcohol on it in between the buttons would help. Will this work and what would recommend to fix it?

Try some cleaner degreaser available at The Source. Rubbing Alcohol is not the right alcohol, isopropyl is. Try not to get it wet next time!

Let it set for several days to dry out thoroughly. Don't turn it on or mess with it. Just let it set. It sounds like you've already tried using it, hopefully, nothing got shorted out. Odds are it's dead, but with some luck, it may dry out and work OK.

Yes, dry it out. Just let it sit for like a week or two. It is coming "back to life" as you see already, and, with any luck, it may work just fine once it has COMPLETELY dried out. :)

I'd just let it air out for about two weeks. Take the cover off, if possible.
