Can a website in the Internet knows the place of the people who contribute or emails to the website ?? Thank you

If you access a website directly without any anonymous proxy between you and the webserver they can see and log your ip address. With the e-mail the answer may vary, your identity can be found based on the user, when they receive a mail from Johndoe@foo.com they can find out the owner of the foo.com domain and trace the mail to mister "Johndoe". This is the case when techniques like SMTP spoofing for the mai and anonymous proxies for the HTTP are not used. Hope i was of help.

Also a subpoena can be issued to the ISP to determine who had a particular IP address issued to them at any particular time; this would allow them to know who the account is registered to. Shortly thereafter they can figure out who was most likely behind the keyboard. =)

the website would need to log ip address,
the only details they can get from this is city, ISP, connection type.
i use http://www.dnsstuff.com to check ip addresses.

Yes, by your IP address. They won't know who you are, but they can track your location if they needed to.
