Why do you ask an all inclusive question? Your question implies that EVERYONE using this forum responds the same way!
More over, you seem to take issue with responses that you disagree with. While it is true, that some people use poor judgment concerning the subject or subject matter that they post in a public forum, and you may wonder about the maturity of some responses, you still may not lump everyone into one group and criticize the whole based upon your values.
"Why do some people", would have been a more objective start.

For this project you will need: 1- 2x4x96"
1-8p nail ring shank
hammer
saw
Cut 2x4 with saw to 24".
Drive nail one inch from end of board, centered. Drive head flush.
Rotate board until nail faces up.
Grasping board with both hands, swing upward until nail embeds in forehead.
